Why?

Since a  diagnosis of relapsing remitting Multiple Sclerosis in late 2007 and after a number of severe relapses I was hospitalised and wheelchair bound for 8 weeks. This was followed by 6 months of physiotherapy where I learnt to walk again.

This had a profound effect on me, knowing that my ability to walk could be taken from me at any time. Since then I’ve been highly motivated to challenge myself to do and achieve as much as possible as soon as possible, despite the condition. Travelling with any spare time I have, to try to climb higher, trek further and dive deeper.

The latest challenge is by far the most ambitious to date, where I will attempt to learn to drive in 5 days followed by a self-funded 12,000 mile overland adventure to Siberia.

As part of this latest adventure, we’d like to raise awareness for the Multiple Sclerosis society to help fund research to help find a cure for the 100,000 diagnosed in the UK and many more worldwide. If you are able to donate, follow the JustGiving link below:
